Our client is a leading digital health media platform reaching millions of physicians and healthcare professionals across dozens of medical specialties. Backed by a global healthcare organization, the company combines growth-stage agility with enterprise-level stability and capital.
They are undertaking a major platform transformation — evolving from a legacy publishing model into a physician intelligence platform powered by first-party data, real-time personalization, and AI. This is a newly defined, high-visibility leadership role reporting directly into the C-suite, with board-level exposure for the technology roadmap.
● Full architecture and roadmap authority across a combined engineering, product, and data organization (~20 people)
● A first-party data and identity resolution strategy built for a regulated/semi-regulated industry
● Real-time personalization and recommendation systems, from MVP to production
● A rigorous, hypothesis-driven experimentation and A/B testing framework
● Resolution of cross-functional tension through demonstrated technical decision-making — not facilitation or process theater
● Vendor evaluation and integration across MarTech, CDP, and experimentation platforms
● Clear, single-threaded decision-making authority across product and engineering
● A concrete roadmap tying engineering priorities to business and growth targets
● A shift in how the organization treats physician data — from infrastructure to product
● Sustainable shipping velocity in a small, fast-moving team, without heroics or burnout
● 10–15 years of progressive technology leadership, including 3–5+ years managing teams with direct architecture and roadmap ownership
● Deep, hands-on experience with MarTech/CDP architecture — fluent in identity resolution, first-party data, and the CDP-vs-DMP distinction
● A shipped, production personalization or recommendation engine you owned end-to-end
● Embedded, daily fluency with AI/LLM tools as part of your own workflow — not just AI adoption at the org level
● Background in digital health media, healthtech SaaS, HCP engagement platforms, or subscription/community content platforms strongly preferred
● Comfort operating in a lean, high-ownership, fast-shipping culture rather than a large, layered enterprise
● U.S.-based candidates only; no visa sponsorship available
● Quarterly in-person offsites (NY/NJ area)
● Company size: approximately 200–800 employees; $20M–$150M in revenue
